I am hosting a focused Milsim Night Vision and Thermal game @ Eagle Mountain. Anyone is welcome! If you don’t have NVGs you will be paired with someone who does. (NVG Rentals are available on site.)
Game modes in the mix:
Recon & Exfil: A 4–6 man element will infiltrate the objective area, locate the marked MS2000 IR strobe or IR chemlight, and exfiltrate with the device back to their designated FOB.
The opposing force will be actively patrolling and securing the objective area.
Downed Pilot / HVT Target: One team will locate, secure, and extract a simulated downed pilot from the objective area to a designated LZ. The opposing force will conduct active search and destroy operations to intercept the recovery element.
Rules:
Pilot cannot move without physical assistance from a team member.
360° security must be maintained at all times during movement and at halts.
Extraction must occur at the marked LZ.
Silent Grid (ATAKS + Meshtastic)
One team will conduct a night infiltration using ATAK connected over a live Meshtastic mesh network. Their mission is to locate designated objectives within the AO, confirm them digitally, and successfully exfiltrate to a marked LZ. The opposing force will conduct active patrol and interdiction operations to prevent objective completion and deny exfil.
Meshtastic nodes and ATAK devices will be provided for the event. Players will simply need to input the required grid data, label pins correctly, and send confirmation messages as part of gameplay.
The designated exfil LZ will be visible on both teams ATAK maps. Once objectives are confirmed, the enemy force will be able to see where exfil must occur and can move to intercept.
Objectives must be physically located on the ground. Once found, the team will:
Drop an ATAK pin at the exact location
Label it with the correct object description
Send a short confirmation message over the mesh network
Exfiltrate to the designated LZ to validate the objective
If the team fails to exfiltrate, the enemy wins.
Casualty and Medic rules:
When you are hit, immediately drop to a knee or go prone and clearly but calmly call “Hit.” At that point you are considered wounded and your five minute bleed out timer begins. If you are not treated within five minutes, you must return to respawn.
Any teammate may revive you. A revive requires 60 seconds of continuous physical contact, and both players must remain stationary during treatment. No firing is allowed while performing a revive. Once the 60 seconds is complete, you return to full combat capability. There is no limit on the number of revives.
**Optional and group vote required: If you are shot again while down, you must immediately return to respawn. Downed players may not provide enemy positions or tactical information. While wounded, flip your nods up.**
MED RULES:
0 – 350 fps or < 1.15 J = 0 MED
351 – 400fps or 1.15 J to 1.5 J = 50ft MED
401 – 450fps or 1.5 J to 1.9 J = 75ft MED
451fps – 500fps or 1.9 J – 2.5 J = 100ft MED
> 2.5J = 150ft MED
